what's the engine diffence between a regular tl and a tl type s?
how much Hp do the 2 have?

 

tl 225 hp and 213 lbs /ft of torque
tl-s 260hp and 232 lbs/ft of torque
im not sure but isnt the regular tl a 4 speed guys?
i know the type s is 5 speed auto.

 

it's the same 5spd in both.

the type-s also has 17" wheels, vsa, a tighter suspension, and a couple detail differences (seats & leather, etc.).

but if you value performance slightly over ride comfort, the extra $$ over the base model is well worth it.

 

ALL TL's are 5 speeds

 

except those 1999 ones...
