Some guy crabbing about no SS control of 1-2 shift. R&T stated that Acura had made NipponDenso develop a proprietary drivetrain control system for the TL (reason unstated). It certainly will keep people from spinning out in first, and also from monkeying around with the engine mgt and transmission systems. This is the main reason why there are no aftermarket (few?) ECM systems for our cars.
