TL Security

Just wondering what security features that the TL has. This is what I'm familiar with so far:

ボ The TL key is coded so that it will only start if you have a properly coded key. You can make copies at the hardware store, but those copies will not start the car.
ボ The doors will not lock if a door/trunk is ajar.
ボ If you press the Lock button twice on your remote, it sounds a small beep (not from the horn).
ボ Press the unlock button once for the driver's side, twice for all doors.
ボ Press the Lock and Panic button at the same time and a force field is created around your car that is impervious to everything (haha。K j/k)

Are there any other features that anyone is familiar with? Does the TL have starter kill?

You pretty much wrote it all. I went the extra step and added a shock sensor to the anti-theft device.

You have to remember that the "alarm" that is stock on the TL is only to prevent theft of the car. The alarm will not sound if someone smashes your window and steals your CDs or radar detector, etc. That's why headlights were being stolen left and right. Adding a $11 shock sensor helps somewhat.

But doesnt a Shock Sensor give false Alarms? And it will go off all the time and now they are giving tickets for that arent they?

Not that I know of.... mine has never gone off with a false alarm. Well.. actually, it went off once in a severe thunderstorm... but I was up and just turned it off. Other then that it only goes off when it's supposed to.
