TL-S vs GS300
Had a run in with the current Lexus GS300 on Georgia Ave on my way to DC. We both pull up to light and I KNEW this guy was gonna try something, so light goes green I go a lil stronger than normail, not WOT. and he is right with me, then he is GONE. I was like ok, whatever. So next light I said I am gonna show him whats up. Light goes green, he gets me off the line ONLY because I was not paying attn. I nailed it and it seemed like he sat still, I FLEW by him. I let up and he come back weaving in and out of traffic and he gets back in the middle lane, I am in the third lane and we are side by side, he hits it AGAIN, I hit it, and again, his car seemed as if it sat still as I passed. So they are no match, but I know the GS 400/430 is a differwnt story. Just thought I would share!

lexus' are slow. at least the camry engine 3.0L's. i doubt that GS300 woulda kept up, theyre just wayy too heavy and their suspensions are just way too soft to even be handling that well. the only thing the GS's have going for them are the rear wheel drives. but even the new FF ES330 cant keep up with the TL. its just not gonna happen.
and another thing, you have a TL-S. you got 260hp if it was stock. and the sports suspension. the lexus' 300 engines only have 210.. it just wouldnt compete. even a TLP can pass it, not easily, but still up there. the new 330 engines have 220 or 230 hp i think. even those cant beat the TL-S.

dood a GS430 is faster than a stock Type-S... 300hp and more torque than a Type-S... the GS400 and TL-S are pretty close tho... but i think the GS400 could win...

i know they're heavy but they're still faster...
0-60 times range from like 5.7 to 6 sec.. quarter mile in around 14sec @ over 100mph...

gs300's and is300's use the inline-6 from the supra - 2jz-ge's, and not the 3.0L camry engines.
