TL-S shakes on start-up/shut down
TL-S shakes on start-up/shut down
it's funny how intimately we know our cars after a while--
I took the car (27k miles) to the dealer for it's usual Mobil 1 oil change. They also did an alignment, check the tranny computer (don't like how the new one shifts) and fixed a faulty seatbelt retractor.
Anyways, I have noticed the past few days that when I start the car, it seems to shake more than it did. I ignored it at first, but this morning I swear it shook when I turned off the engine as well. Not a violent shake, but it used to feel much more isolated than it does now (now it feels very economy-car-like if that makes sense).
I'm thinking a motor mount, but I can't imagine that these go bad, and I'm sure the dealer will just say "it's within spec."
Your thoughts?
Chris

If they just changed the oil, have you checked the oil levels? Its possible they messed up putting the new filter on and your car is now losing tons of oil on the road, causing the hard starts and stops. I would check the oil levels ASAP to make sure they didn't mess up.
It might not be, but of all the things they did to your car, thats the only one I can think of that might impact the start/stop of the engine. Unless they really messed with the ECU.
