Arrow The TL-S seat are sooooo much more comfortable than ours!!!

I want these! I had a chance to check out edgalang's ride today. WOW!!

The thing I noticed right away is how much more confortable the seats were. Especially the headrests. The tilting side mirror is sweet, it made it soo easy for me to back up to parallel park! Focking nice ride.

I want to trade my TL up for a TL-S as soon as I can. The power is just perfect and all the features are exactly what I want in a car.

I'm going to get the Navi(regret not getting it before), and Type-S. Maybe for the 03 or 04 model.

How much would it cost to change up to the TL-S seats? I don't even care about memory - I just want it cuz it is much more comfortable!!

I love the seats in my TL. I havent sat in a TL-S but if they are like the CL-S, i think they are a little on the stiff side. The cool thing in the CL-S seats are the side bolsters.

Yeah, the side bolsters on the CL-S are way better.... The contour of the seats just seamed better on the CL-S that I borrowed. In any event I am super pleased with the seats I have in my 2001 TL, and prefer them over the new TL-S seats. This summer I'll have to borrow a TL-S for kicks and see what it's like.

I have no problem with my TL's seat and I have been sitting on it for over 50K miles.
BTW, I also heard the CL-S seats were better then the TL-S.

Wow! What a turnaround! I thought you were really ticked off about the "2001 cupholder" fiasco. You would never buy another Acura.

Well, the TL-S is mighty persuasive! Glad to hear that you've come around. Although, I cannot blame you for being annoyed, I would have gone through the roof myself!

By the way, I got a loaner CL once, and the CL seats are MUCH better than the TL-S. They have alot more side support. You feel like you are in a race car!!!

I sat in a 2001 TL and the seats seemed to be softer than the 2002 TL. The TLS was even harder. Would prefer the 2001 for it's smooth ride and comfy seats, but the features of the 2002 TL made me get that.
The extra HP of the TLS wasn't worth it if I got a harsher ride. When I buy a luxury car - I want a luxury ride.

Question

anyone know if you could put a cl-s seat into a 99 tl ? how much exactly? i thought it would be thousands?, then what would you get for your oem 99 seat? (patio furniture?) that cl-s seat has the serious wrap! i love that tight racing bucket, the support is so superior... kman156

I hated the TL-S seats... I borrowed a CL-S last fall for a week or so and I really liked those seats, but the TL-S had totally different seats. They seemed too hard and flat to me, just my opinion, but it would keep me from buying a TL-S. At this point if I had to get a new car I'd buy the TL-P instead unless they were willing to swap the seats for me because I just felt they were too hard.

I wish I had waited for the TL-S just for the seats. I HATE HATE HATE mine. They suck in every way. I'm waiting for the new Lexus ES-300 before I trade my non S for an S. The S seats are made for humans. Not sure what they were thinking before. After a week in the regular seats my back was killing me. They are just good enough to get you through a few test drives without noticing.

i don't think I have ever sat in a CL-S before to feel the seats.. if they are really comfortable, maybe I can change my seats to CL-S seats instead. There are some out there that you can just get the seats out of.. hmmm..

Sorry Shoof,

But I was at the dealer on Friday and I believe (I think) that the TLS seats are very similar to the EL (a la luxury Civic)seats. They have the racing seat look with holes in the actual seat part. They are different fron the CLS seats in that the CLS seats are much bigger/wider and feel more softer and larger. The TLS seats are similar to the 2000-2001 TL seats but look more sportier.

I don't really like CLS' seats. I feel locked into position in that seat. TLS allows more movement which for me (and people that I know) feels a lot more comfortable.

I'm still contemplating the Acura.. Still not over it yet..

Right now, a house is the priority, then we'll see about the car. At least I can do stuff to my car now.. most mods will be transferrable or I can sell them in da future..

Hmm.. CL-S seats are starting to sound very appealing..

The only problem with the tl-s is that the front grill is so ugly. It's huge, bigger than it needs to be. Anyone else agree?

Hey guys,

If you really serous about getting cl-s seats go ask on the cl fourm. I know atleast one guy who took his cl-s seats out and got after market seats like the ones people put in integra/civics. R something.

you will appreciate best when u sit properly in a cl-s seat. *not the pimping, back leaning style but, actually putting your seat up all the way and sitting like a race car driver strapped down. the sides really support you better in corners and sudden turns.
