Do I need to mod anything if I get a set of TL-S rims? How wide are they? Thank you.

 

Nope, you don't need to mod anything. They will fit perfectly even with your car lowered.

They fit perfectly fine......I have them on my 99. I believe the width is 6.5"

 

The rims fit perfectly and you can order it by click on the top Genuine Acura Parts link and look under suspension. The wheels are 17x6.5 and are $198.48 each.

 

I looked into the 2000TL catalog, it says the rims on my TL are 16x6.5", how could the TL-S rims be only 6.5" when they are fitted with wider tires???

 

The stock TL-S tires are 215/50/17, many people have put 225/40/16 tires on the stock TL wheels.. so it's not like its a huge difference..

besides, if you do get the TL-S wheels.. why get the stock size tires??? Get wider ones!!!

 

Believe it or not, they are 17x6.5" on the TLS. They're skinny!

6.5" rims are still within the (minimum) width specs for the 215x50x17 tire.
