TL-S owners: What will be your next car?
Don't get me wrong, I love my TL-S but I'm pretty sure I'll want something else in 3-4 years...
My next car will be BMW M3
Just wondering which ride everyone else's thinking about.

You opened up a can of worms with this thread-
Just bought my TLS and lovin it- But the economy needs a boost to pick up the software industry.
Someone needs to shoot Bin ladin in the head or stuff his nuts down his throat-
Back to the question- 540 Sport- possibly a clean 740- but most of all an M5
But if Acura doesnt hack the new TLS I will consider!

z06 Vette, Hopefully they will make it available in convertible in the next two years. If not, I will buy a C5 Conv. and spend the extra money the z06 costs on the c5's engine to make it as fast or faster than the stock z06.

Back to rear wheel drive.....need to get myself into a light cornering tool that requires me to shift.........and rev, rev, rev.....
IMO, the car has allot of fun potential and....I think I need to prescribe me a silver one....
Already had a twin-turbo V-6, have a V-8... but I can't seem to get rid of my desires for a Rotary....

I would love an M5, but in reality, these cars are too expensive for me, as you really need to be making 200K per year to afford, if you want to have the other things, like a nice house.
Realistically, perhaps an MDX or I may go back to an Accord from my present 2002 TL. As much as I like my TL, I do not know if I would buy another. But who knows, maybe the new TL will knock my socks off and I will buy it. This is what I like about cars, there are so many possibilities.

This is the problem with Acura
This is the problem with Acura.
Whenever a question is posed like this, no one really wants another Acura because Acura doesn't offer us any options to step up from the TL. There is no excitement past the TL, even the NSX seems outdated to what else is out there.
There is also this persona about Acura that it is an entry level luxury brand that is one step lower than your BMW, MB & Lexus, yet one step higher than your Honda and Toyotas. Acura's brand is sort of in limbo and this is the fault of Acura. As vain as it sounds, we all into brand name recognition, especially since cars are moving status symbols.
I don't want the current RL and I am sure the new RL will be good even with a V8, but it's playing catch up to Lexus, BMW & Mercedes V8s that have been out in the market for many years already.
Maybe that is why the majority of answers by fellow members are for German cars as well as other Japanese luxury brands, other than Acura.
I stepped up to a GS430 from my TL and now want the new 2003 or 2004 BMW 545 coming out soon.

Bottom line is I don't care who offers what. When the time comes around to buy a new car, I will shop every worthy brand to find my next vehicle. I don't understand the reasoning behind brand loyalty or whatever they call it.

Good point, Lexus does have some other options to step up to, however you are right, no brand loyalty here either. I want the best that I can afford at the time I am buying my next car. Right now the next generation BMW 545 series is looking very fine. Why I say this is due to I need that tight & sporty BMW steering and handling as opposed to the loose and floaty Lexus version.
Just my opinion.

I might be wrong but the iVTEC V8 to be used on next gen NSX (and RL?) is supposed to produce 400hp, and this is done only out of 4 liters. What other V8's can generate 100hp/liter? Ferrari is the only one I can think of.

u guys with all this M5 for yah next car need to kill it
Where is the logic if u ask me if u gonna get a M5 for yah next car why in the hell u get a TL. M5's gonna run yah $80,000 out the door fully loaded, which is almost 3x that of TL. I think this thread wanted the know what car would u most likely buy after your TL. IMO if u can afford a M5 u would have never got a TL. Well anyway being realistic i might go with the Yukon Denali in a burgendy color or im thinking bout stepping up to the the '03-04 GS when it does come out, not the first year it drops but the second year maybe, even better would be a 03-04 new 540ish series but that might be out of my reach after all the damn options...current car '03 ABP TL-s w/navi sitting on 19's ...

Damn - everyone with the M5 for the next car must be making some serious coin. I WISH I could get an M5.
Realistically, I'll probably be looking at a used s4 or a used escalade. I want to build a house sometime in the next 5 years, and there is no way I will be able to do that if I get something new (that I like). Who knows maybe the new TLS will blow me away and I'll stay with that.

I have two lists:
I wish:
M5
RS6
e55
More likely (depending on what they look like and how much they change):
GS4xx
TLS
S4
545
I want Luxury and sport! I love my TLS and it definitely has a little of both.

No idea, I'm still too new in the TLS. I'm sure by the time I'm ready, there will be a couple of choices.
But if I had to change now:
- G35 is interesting
- GS400 (or is it 435 now?) is really smok'n
- wife already has the MDX
Come to think of it, life is pretty good in my TLS...unless I get "that raise"????
