If I am heading north the little red arrow goes that way. if i turn around and head south the arrow still goes south but the map doesnt turn like it did yesterday when i picked it up from the dealer. Did I hit something i shouldnt have or dont know about? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

 

You can hit or press the Red Arrow again and the map will turn. It's the feature that you can control the map. (turning the map around or turning your postion around)

 

touch your "N" indicator to verify the state you are in:

either N straight up or the arrow will indicate which way north is but keep you (acura logo) going up towards the top of the screen.

 

Red Arrow I am talking about is located on the upper right corner. It shows which direction you're heading. N, S, W, or E

 

There's two settings. The default is for the map to display in the direction you are driving. With this setting the little arrow in the upper right turns to indicate which direction is "north". By pressing the arrow the display changes to "true north" where the map stays fixed north and the route your following will be shown on the screen as related to "north". In true north mode the map direction is fixed and the indicator on the screen moves relative to north. It sounds confusing but if you play with it you'll see what I mean.

 

If you hit the N on the Top right hand corner of the screen for North. The car Icon on the screen could be going right or left up or down on the screen. When the Arrow Button is pushed in the 1/8 1/2 2mile ect distance scale the car Icon points upwards.
