Thumbs up TL-S Lease Deals!!??

The best lease offer I got so far was:
2002 TL-S w/o Nav, Underbody Kit, Rear Spoiler, Sunroof visor.
39 months
12k/year
$3,800 down
$450/month

If you are leasing one, let me know if you got a better deal or was offered one.

Thank you!

That looks like a pretty good deal. I took the MSRP of that car with options, added a couple thousand for TTL and plugged it into the lease calculator on the Acura site. The number they quoted was $478/mo, so they must be knocking about $1000 off MSRP.

One question - was that $3800 down, or $3800 drive out. You also normally have to pay a $550 security deposit and the first month's payment in addition to the down payment. If the $3800 is driveout, then you are getting an even better deal, because only $2800 of that is used as a down payment (cap reduction). If not, then be aware that your total drive-out cost will be more like $4800.

I got another deal yesterday from a local dealership. Even though I already gave a deposit at one of them, I decided to check out another dealership.
They offered me a much better deal:
2002 TL-S w/o NAV, Underbody Spoiler, Rear Spoiler, Sunroof Visor, Wheel Locks, 3 Oil Changes.
$3,000 drive-off (Tax, Security Dep, 1st Payment,Other Fee)
39 Months, 12k/year
$437.00/month

I'm taking this offer to the dealership where I'm suppose to get the car from, and see if they can beat that.

Jaguar X-type. $3195 down, $495/month, 39 months. only $49 more per month than the TL-S... You could probably get a better deal for the TL-S since the Jaguar sells for $45k...

I don't understand why anyone would put a down payment on a lease. At the end of it, the car's still not yours. But some people prefer leasing I guess.

BTW, for that kind of down, and maybe $50 more a month, you can lease a BMW 530i.

I just leased a TL-S w/Navi for $455 for 42 months, just inceptions down. I can have the spoiler also if I want it. It seems the TL-S has a better lease deal than the CL-S because the CL was more expensive.

Cool

I finally got the dealer to lower my leasing options. I'm picking up my car around noon and I suppose to come in to fill out all the paperwork. I got them down to $430/month for 39 months with 3,000 down (incl. 1st payment, tax & tags, etc). I got them to throw in sunroof visor, wheel locks, ashtray and lighter. It's not a big deal, but I need those things. Can't live without an ashtray
Remember, whatever dealer gives you for "free" is beneficial to the dealership, because it increase sales volume for parts and make them look good infront of Honda Corp.

JasonD - How did you get that deal? To get the payment there, the total cost including tax of the car must have been below $32k. If you assume TTL of about $2k, then the dealer must have sold you the car at $500 below invoice.

The only other option is that you found a lower money factor. The best rate I have seen people be able to get is around .00345. What kind of money factor did you get?

I got .00345 and my payment is $560/month for 48 months. I did get 15k miles per year, but that was only $10 more. I also got the spoiler and underbody kit which added a couple grand to the deal, but not enough to add $100 to the payment, and for a longer term.

Either I'm missing something, or you got the deal of a lifetime.

Mikester,

I punched my numbers in today for a sanity check and it appears(I didn't ask) that the lease rate had to be at .0025 or so to come out where I did. The numbers on my lease agreement show sale price as 33176, so the lease rate is the only thing I can see that would make such a difference. FYI, I leased a '98 2.3 CL from the same guys with all options and spoiler for $324 a month a few years back. From what I can see, that was a great deal as well. I got it Acura of Somerville yesterday. I t was an impulse buy and I told my salesman the price would have to knock me over or I'd keep the car I had. Since I got a price of $509 a month last month on a CL-S w/Navi, I took this deal. The CL-S is still a few bucks more than the TL-S. I can go back for the spoiler if I want it(part of the deal) but I think the car looks better without it.

Forgot... it loooks like they took the bank fee and security deposit and put it towards cap cost reduction. But the lease was still based on a Adj Cap cost of $32624.

Its $298/month for 24 months from MIke Harvey Acura in Burlingame. Something like $7000 due at drive-off and total payments of $23000. The exact numbers are posted in an ad in friday 4/13's SF Chronicle. I would post it but no scanner-sorry.

You see deals like that all the time. But who wants to put $7000 down on a lease? Doesn't make sense to me.

When I leased my TLS, I just put down the first month's payment and the security deposit. I had $6200 in equity in my trade-in ('00 TL), and I had the dealer cut me a check. I would rather have the money now to invest.
