TL-S governed at 146?
Got an opportunity to test out the TL-S on a closed track today, and it seems that the govenor limited top speed is 146? Anyone else find this to be true? Not that I need to go faster, but the car was pulling quite nicely at 146 and hitting the fuel cut was quite a shocker. 4th gear was at ~6k RPM, right around peak HP, and from the feel of the car it could have definatly been good for 160 or so...
going that fast is quite a rush tho, I must say! wish I had someone to video tape the experience!

Yeah, I like how stable it is at high speeds. The car just locks onto the lane and the pavement. Granted my car has suspension modifications, but nonetheless.
If Acura had made the 2G TL a RWD car with a 6-speed, it would've been the ultimate entry lux sport sedan... the G35 wouldn't have shit on it. Such a shame.

I was surprised at how smooth the car was, didn't feel too floaty or anything, although I can't say I felt "locked" to the road. Secure enough, but i'm sure suspension mods would help some

i feel the same sort of "lock-down" feel when going 100. it feels very stable. Highest I even dared go was 125 and that was on a newly paved freeway at 2am, no cars in sight for miles, 4 lane highway, very straight and few sports for cops to hide. I didn't want to press my luck past 125, which was stupid to go that fast anyway, but it didn't take forever to get there. I was suprised 4th gear didn't suck as much as everyone says it does. when you're in v-tec in 4th it pulls very well(not as good as 3rd though).

This doesn't hold for all manufacturers, but for some at least
