Question TL-S Brake Performance

Can any TL-S owners comment on the performance of the brakes. Is this the same braking system as the CL or is it just the old TL system? The reason I ask is that some reviews of the pre-2002 TL were critical of brake performance. Also, my 1998 CL is a great car, but the brakes could be better. Before taking the plunge on a TL-S, I'd like to know if the brakes measure up to the kick-ass engine.

thanks!

Motor Trend says 60-0 is 127ft, down from 148ft last year. Do a little calculus to find KW dissipation.

Today it was raining like crazy and I felt my breaks were not working as good (had to press really hard to try to stop). But again it could be because I'm driving around like a granny trying to break the car in right!

I only have 100 miles on the car but have to say the brakes strike me as just OK. Brake pedal feel is initialy kind of soft so I find myself over compensating. The brakes on my MDX are more linear even though it's stopping distance (on paper) is worse than the TL-S. Maybe once my TL-S is broken-in the braking modulation will improve.
