Question TL-S "Green" Glass vs. Tinting?

Does anyone know if the window glass in the TL-S is actually a LoE type of glass (ie, a thermal reflective coating that inhibits some percentage of heat from passing thru; aka, the "greenish" color)? This same technology is employed in insulated window units for housing. However, for housing window units adding a tint film in some cases can actually detract from the LoE thermal reflection. Anybody have any facts on this one?

Living in Phx you should know that is a moot point anyway. Aftermarket tint is a must.

I have 30% tint on mine and it still have that greenish color if you look at a certain angle. But overall it is dark smoke tint, which matches nicely on my black TLS.

Explain this to me. How can it reflect less if the thermal rays have already passed through the glass? The tint doesnt do anything for light until it passes through the glass first. If anything, it'll be like having double filters. I've never heard of having two filters stacked on top of each other filtering less than just 1 filter. If anything, tinting windows could cause visual distortion like it does in my rear view mirror along the lines of the defroster/antenna.

edgalang: Sorry, what I actually meant to say was in a house window unit adding a tint film can build-up a higher temperature in the insulated portion of the window unit and may cause one of the panes of glass to crack (at least thats what the sales guy told me); obviously not relevant for auto glass.
