TL is perfect for iPODs....
the TL is great for ipods...you can plug the ipod charger into the power outlet inside the armrest, and snake the other end into the cup holder area through the given hole and keep the ipod in the cupholder area the whole time...and when you leave the car, just close the cupholder area and the ipod is hidden...i have a FM transmitter/charger so i dont even have a wire going to the tape cassestte....pretty good reception in the TL too, a little static in downtown, but nothing major, just switch frequency

Yeah, get the blitzsafe cable, much better than RF.
Also, that cupholder area is great for putting a cell phone. You can keep the charger in that armrest and run the wire to the cupholder.

REPOST OF MY IDEA eh?? back when people wanted 6CD modules for their cars, i introduced this ipod idea being much cheaper and cooler...i got a 20MB last gen i found in a locker room...i bought the FM receptor thing and its a beautifull combination...
i keep the ipod inside the mid console (on the bottom) where theres a 12V plug and i just keep it there playing. to change songs i just pull it out from the space where the cupholder meets the midconsole...peace.

It uses the cd changer plug in the back of the HU. Basically it is an adapter that turns the cd changer slot into an AUX. Sound quality is better then FM modulars and Tape deck.

cmon guys...lets use some common sense...theres no 20MB...hell, i'd be lucky if could fit 5songs. Its a 20GB.
The FM thing works as a radio. You plug into the headphone slot, select 88.5,88.3,87.5...watever the one you bought has, set the ipod to play your song and tune the car's radio to the band you selected.
CHEAPEST PLACE would be EBAY, no doubt. If your skeptical about ebay (dont be anymore, its safe now) then you'll have to pay full price.

but i think you can use the PIE HON03/PC-SON
"The PIE HON03/PC-SON allows you to either add a Sony CD changer or can be used as an auxiliary audio input source DIRECTLY to the 2003-2004 Honda Accord, Element and S2000 factory radio. As an auxiliary input converter, this device allows you to plug in an external audio source, like a portable MP3 player, satellite tuner, DVD player, or iPod. Just connect to the the RCA inputs on the HON03/PC-SON and PLAY MUSIC! "

Ladies, Ladies, dont spend so much time and money with the blitsafe...get one of the FM emitting units for like $10 at radio shack or best buy...you just plug and set your radio to 88.5, etc. The sound quality is PERFECT so dont worry about your NAV or 6cd changer or radio frequencies interupting the sound quality.
The unit can run on 2 AAA batteries, or with the 12V plug inside the middle console if you wanna hide it.

If you have a system the fm transmitters will not be the best, I tried it with the itrip, the wattage just amplifies the static, even if its minimal. I had my ipod hardwired to my alpine 7998. The itrip is good though so I can bring it into other peoples cars.

depending on where you are the fm transmitter can work with varied sound quality. i found the blitzsafe to be the best solution, ran the cable down the side and drilled a hole under the cup holder and snaked it to the center console where the ipod sits and never moves charged with the belkin 12v and audio is fed thru that as well. I run the remote up the side of the cupholder so i can control it with ease. what im waiting for is some sort of remote display, but the only one i see seems to be vaporware as of now and who knows when it will come out. for the most part the whole thing is hidden which is the way i like it.

FM transmitters are crap (esp the iROCK and ARKON CRAP). If you drive from city to city, the signal wanders in and out since radio stations appears next to it. Also if you live in a big city with those frequency are used by a radio station, you're out of luck. The main disappointment I had were with Arkon FM transmitters because they use an analog dial to turn the station......I will be on the road and be spending my time and effort into tuning the station back in. That POS is such a driving hazard. The iRock is a little nice since it has digital tuning but last time I tried it, it had two FM frequency and both of them were filled by a Christian Rock station. Plus the sound quality totally sucks.
Next time just compare the sound quality of FM to a CD.......that is a big jump in quality. I went from FM transmitters to Tape deck to Blitzsafe adapter. If you really want good sound quality for a cheap price, I would recommend the Tape deck adapter before I recommend the FM transmitters.
Anyways, Blitzsafe adapters maybe expensive but atleast they work.

Only reason the Blitzsafe adapter is better for me is because my Blitzsafe adapter has the AUX and CD Changer slot. So I have a 6 disc Mp3 changer in the trunk and am still able to hook up the Ipod.

yeah that makes sense if you have the a CD changer. BTW I'm going to attempt to fabricate my own mounting bracket. I'm not sure how yet because the Icelink hasn't arrived yet (expecting it any minute now). I'll keep you all posted.

I have installed blitzsafe adapter with ipod. I dont have any problem. What i did was, used the belkin power adapter which has an inbuilt 3. 5 mm jack that i can plug the wire coming from blitzsafe adapter into. Also, the belking adapter has volume control and if u keep that on max, it works pretty well. i m sure they have something for Dell jukebox also. check out belkin.com
