I almost bought a 02 TL-P in 01 because that's what I test drove first. I didn't really think I needed/wanted the extra power. I think most people who get a TL-P get it because it is more comfortable then a TL-S. Unless you really want the power, you go for the regular. I got to drive the TL-S because they didn't have a TL-P for me to drive. After feeling the power, screw the comfort. If it was up to my dad, he would have gotten the TL-P.

There's nothing like sibling rivalry.:thefinger

Like Turboara said, there were no type-s when I bought my TL. If there was I would've been all over it. But I do not regret buying my TL.

For all others, natismati is just trying to justified the extra $2K.:p

I have a 99 so i didnt have the Type S option. But i have proved time and time again that My Modded P will run a stock Type s off the line and from a roll. Rondog has Intake headers and mufflers and i still hang only about 3 cars back from 50 to 100. But here is the kicker, after 100 my 99 stays in 3rd and i start catching up. We onced raced from 70 till 130+ and i had him by 1-2 car lengths. Also i am modded to hell minus a supercharger and my car sounds louder, meaner, and balssier than his type S. We both have similar mods.

The throttle spacer i got was from Helix. At first it took power away because it was too small. But then i had a machine shop bore it out and it sounds mean and i feel no real power gain. That 20 horse power crap is straight BS. Guys on the accord forum gained between 3-6 horses peak and 4 lb ft of torque. With about an average of 4 horses and 2 lb ft for the entire rpm band.

I didn't buy my '99 TL-P because I thought it was a barnburner. I bought it because it was a sweet looking car that had every feature I wanted, not to mention room. If you bought the TL-S for speed, you wasted a lot of money. There are a lot faster cars out there for less money. I can make a list if you'd like. Now, I'm not saying the TL-S is a waste of money, it's actually a pretty kickass value overall. But when I want some speed i just take a drive in my modded out Mustang Cobra.

P.S. For the record this is the most worthless thread I have replied to.

Hey Natismati, when I reply, I do so to contibute, not B.S. with someone on a 6th grade level. Do us all a favor and quit posting, or at least go to some other forum that condones such insolence.

You seem to instigate them quite often, and how am I the one that needs to get a life, I'm not the one posting about everything! Besides, everyone talks pretty big on the internet, (including myself), its dumb and unnecessary on this site.

Type S is definetly a faster car w/ preforated seats lol

I think Acura is smart for introducing " Type S" it definetly increased their TL sales.

So wait.... bigger throttle body, bigger exhaust manifold/piping?, 17 inch wheels, higher compression, stiffer suspension, better interior???

is it really worth the extra money???

I bought my car in early 2000... had no choice between TL-P / TL-S... matter of fact.. i was never informed about the TL-S coming out by the dealership

I 'm a big fan of Honda no doubt... they make the B E S T
F W D cars in the world.

Right now im saving for my " PROJECT " muhaha...

Sounds like the 05 TL will be my daily driver.
