Post TL lease

Just received lease info through autbytel's local dealer.

I received the follwoing e-mail from the internet manager.

"OUR INTERNET SPECIAL IS AS FOLLOWS: 2001 3.2TL LEASE 42 MONTH 12K $363 PAYMENT/ $450 BANK FEE/$375 REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT PLUS TAXES AND PLATE FEES"

Does this sound like a good deal ?

Michael A,

With taxes and everything, your total "out of pocket" moneys will be around $3,500. Keep that in mind. The key to a lease is to put down as little as possible. These low lease payments sometimes make an artificial low number by having the person put down a higher down payments.

FYI this is the lease I just got for my '01 TL (Silver w/ no-nav) - 2 weeks ago.

Purchase Price: $27,280 (Stock, mud flaps and tint)
Lease Term: 39 mo
Mileage: 12k/yr
Total "out of pocket" money: $2,500
Payment: $441

I could have made my payment about equal to yours if I put down the extra grand, but did not want to dump that kind of money in a lease.

But.. after having (3) Maxima's, I really LOVE this car. Hope you get yours soon.

I guess I am getting a decent deal because my total out of pocket will be $2,182 ... this is a zero down / zero cap cost reduction lease, where I am only paying the sales tax and inseption fees up front.

I have been receiving lease quotes of about $375 - $385 with about $2500 due at inseption with a selling price of about $27,500.

So this deal is not that much lower than what I have been getting quotes for.

But it is is almost $80 less per month than you are paying.

Leased my TL in April. $2000 down, 51 months at $366 per month. That was the best I could get after shopping 5 dealers because of the demand. Your deal looks pretty good.

Will be picking up the TL tomorrow.
Ended up at $370 / 42 months with factory 6 disk cd changer and approximately $2500 out of pocket.
Purchase price was approximately $26,900
I thought that it was a pretty decent deal.

Richie46, what leasing company did you use? What bank? I just got my Acura and my deal was not that good compared to yours and my credit is excellent. I want this info so I can show my lease guy. THX

Picked up the TL yesterday, still have yet to drive it or actually be driven in it by my wife.
Delivery went ok except the salesman was busy when we got there and had to wait 1/2 hour.
The only disturbing thing about the paperwork is that there was NO BANK FEE. It was listed on the lease papers as a CAP COST REDUCTION in multiple spots.
From what I gather from reading these discussion boards is that their really is no such thing as a BANK FEE....this is just a way for the dealer to make extra profit ?
When I questioned this, the dealer told me that this money goes to the bank and is NOT extra profit for them ?
It just seems suspicious that this is listed as a CAP COST REDUCTION in several spots on the lease form.
