ok heres the deal....i got an '01 TL and my cuz has an '01 CL Type-s..both cars have around 15k miles on them....i got a the OEM body kit and 3A exhaust tips..his is all stock....we were contemplating about switching cars....i need a smaller car cuz of where im gonna be living next fall and he wants a bigger car....soo the question from me is.....sound like a good trade?....are there ne problems wid the CL that ne of u kno about?.....pleez no flames....im not selling out on the TL's.....i luv my TL...just it doesnt fit my needs rite now.....

 

hell yea switch!!!! The Type-s engine is well worth it. DO IT!!

 

if you don't care

1) the seats at the back of the car
2) the rounded trunk lining at the back

by all means go for it, coz'

1) you get more hp and more torque
2) you have "fogs"
3) you have the nice desh board
4) the 6-disk cd changer (correct me if wrong)
5) more aggressive wheels.

 

If he takes care of his car and his car is mint, i say go for it. Personally i don't think the Cl looks better than a kitted TL but hey you get more HP, bigger wheels and tires, better suspension and a meaner sounding exhaust amongst other things. The only downside is the looks which are not bad at all, but are not better than the TL, and the interioir space. I say just go for it. Oh, do either have navi.

 

The TL and CL the same size. From edmunds.com:

TL

in my opinion . . . the size of the two cars are not big of a difference:o . . . also tl look way better than a cl

 

It doesn't matter if it is smaller. I would still do it. The engine is worth the change. But remember that the cl also weighs more.

 

I personally find the CL small inside and I like a 4 dr vehicle. If you are single and smaller (I am 6'3" and 240), go for the CL-S cause it goes like stink. Sounds like a good deal.

 

Two words "TYPE S" only if you don't mind two less doors and that rear
