I have been looking for about an hour for the TL Brake TSB. I need to show it to the service manager at Continental Acura in IL. He said they will only machine them down, and I say NO, replace them. I have a 2000 3.2TL with bad brake vibration.

If he is simply going to machine them, I may tell him to forget it and I will get some new slotted ones and do it myself.

If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself!

 

they'll turn the rotors and will replace the pads.

 

What they will first do is measure the discs. If they are below the minimum requirement for thickness, then they will swap the rotors for a new pair. If there is still room for them to be machined, then they will go ahead and do that.

the reason it doesn't come up is cause there's a restriction on the use of the words a(uraw0rld...

you have to replace the ( and 0 with c and o

 

Not sure why it wont take those 2 words together, doesn't appear to be a harmful site....
