Question Tires Spin easily on TL-S

I've noticed that from a stand still, even though I'm not flooring it, my tires can squeal (not all the time, but a few times). Is this not something that traction control/VSA is supposed to keep in control? Just wondering if anyone else has seen this issue. I don't want to sound like I'm racing when I'm just trying to accelerate from a stop

Stock tires are not the greatest. You'll squeal a bit sometimes, but it's hard to maintain a spin. Squeaks and chirps usually don't count as spinning out.

In a parking lot. With VSA off hold your left foot on the brake, rev your engine to a few thousand, turn your wheel all the way one direction and pop off the brake. Then do the same with VSA on.

You'll get the idea when VSA actually takes affect.

Actually, a temperary squeal/minor spin isn't bad idea at all, that is if you want a good 0-60 number....

If TCS is not working, you would be spinning tires at a standstill...

The TL-S squeals just as much as a GTP/Regal GSE's tires will under the same throttle pressure -- I actually feel that the Michelines are stickier than the Goodyear Eagle LS's they put on the Buick Regal GSE, don't know what they put on the stock GTP. However, the Michelins are, in my opinion, no better than the MXV4 (I believe the MXM4's are on the TL-S) -- I have the MXV4's on our other car, and it handles the same -- and it's not a performance car.

i've done the same thing on my car. though i'm still at my break-in stage, i've heard my tires squeal from stand still going forward w/o actually flooring the gas pedal.
