tire size/exhaust ?

quick question, i want 19x7.5" wheels and i know that the optimal tire size is 225-35-19. however being that they are practically rubber bands and that i am only going to do a H&R OE drop, i figure i might be able to fit 225-40-19 with no rubbing issues; is this possible?

another question, has anyone used hayame exhaust/muffler products? i was looking to get 2 Hayame EXT mufflers for my TL cuz i like the dual tip look and i think that setup would look pretty good; if anyone has any input, i would appreciate it, thank you!!

I don't know much about the exhaust but for the tires it all depends on the offset of the rims. If you put +50's you shouldn't have a problem with either tire, but if you have anything less you might have to make some minor adjustments to the fender. I have 225/45/18's with a +45 offset and I had to cut the lip and roll the fenders a little bit. The closer to +50 the less chance of problems you'll have.

well since the rims are 7.5" width, i was gonna get +45 cuz i heard that will be ok... so 19x7.5" with +45 and 225-40-19 tires will rub? if not i guess i'll have to go with the 225-35's... just wanted a slightly thicker tire...

Slightly thicker = 235/35/19, which would be the optimum size...You still may need to roll your fenders with 19's and a drop...Just keep that in mind...
