Its more of a user/car/tire adjustment. Most are running different tires/brands than stock, and each tire is a little different. Ill go as high as 38 on my stock sized snow tires. with my summer tires i run anywhere in the neighborhood of 36-42 depending on if im going to be doing a lot of hwy driving or just normal around town. Play around with them and see what you like.

I started with 32 psi and ended up going with 35 psi on all season yokohamas.

35 front, 32 rear. The fronts always look a little low to me, but if i go higher, I get over-inflation wear. 2 sets of yoko v4s, 1 set pirelli p zero nero.

I just do 36>38 psi all around. Seems to be a good compromise, IMO.

My starting point is 80% of max cold psi. So in your case I'd start around 35 psi.

My current tires have a max pressure of 51. I usually keep it above 38 and up to 42, but above 40 the ride gets a bit rough.

I hope that is hot pressure and not cold. If so you could be really over inflating your tires while driving

45 PSI cold.
I figure the PSI goes up a few points when hot.

I personally wouldnt run it that high. Hot temps could easily reach the 51 max

Whats the dangers of too high of PSI?

The steel belts separating, bubbles on the side wall and/or added stress on the suspension?

^ Tire exploding? Once the steel belts separate can create a hole enough for the air to burst add that in a vehicle in motion and you can have a pretty big accident.

I had been running 32 PSI all around on my Goodyears, but in preparation for the temperature dropping and a significant number of highway miles, I bumped my pressures to 38 all around. I was very surprised to find a noticeable improvement in car feel when aggressively cornering, plus the tires don't squeal anymore at the same speeds (or even slightly higher speeds) when cornering.

I didn't realize the variations of PSI folks run

I usually run the recommendation or a couple PSI above... Anywhere from 32-34 PSI. I'm going to try a little more pressure around 36 and see if the ride feels any better.

Why so low on the snow tires? You really should bring them up higher. You will get better traction too.
