Tire Pressure/Milage

So I'm about to drive a good 500 miles back home and I sorta wanna get some good gas mileage...does the tire pressure effect the mileage? I'm on stock tires right now so would 32 psi be good enough or should i put more in?

More pressure = better gas mileage = harsher ride = less traction.
Less pressure = worse mileage = softer ride = more traction.

Check your tires cold. Severin is right and you have to find something in between, and that is personal preference. If you are by yourself then I'm sure you won't mind a harsher ride. Some use 39F/ 35 R but at that pressure, any indentation on the road is felt and potholes might cause a bulge on your sidewall.

My sweet spot is 34F / 33 R. 32 psi all over is too mushy for me, and the fronts look flat.

I run mine at 38 in the front, and 36 in the back. My traction is ****, but I like the stiffer ride.

Look at the driver's side door, 32psi is what's recommended. That's what I use and it works fine.

40 to 42 in the summer (the best traction) and around 36 in the winter
