Can someone please let me know what the optimum tire pressure in my stock 2001 TL tires should be to get the best ride, handling, and gas mileage?

Follow what it says on the door. I believe it's 32psi cold pressure.

Any higher and you wear out the center of the tire quicker.

Any lower and you wear out the edges quicker.

 

Yeah, and make sure it's cold, like been sitting in the garage for a while. One time I wanted to see if the pressure was actually different, and when I checked after the car had been sitting overnight in the garage it was at 32 and it looked like it was low, drove it to get lunch and came back (about 8 miles), and the tires looked normal and pressure was a lot higher, can't remember how much but I was suprised by it. Maybe I'll try it again soon.
