Tip for 99 owners playing burned CD-R's
Ok, here we go. I burned a CD-R at 24x and I tried playing it on the stock unit and it took the usual time (forever) to play. Then I re-burned the CD-R at 12x and now the CD works perfectly. A couple tracks might take a couple seconds here and there to play but does not take more than 10 seconds to play. Hope this helps people out.
P.S. I'm selling my indiglos. If anyone is interested, please email me at: brianchon@asia.com or AIM me at: lonelykode16.

ya, the higher speed burners are not really that reliable for car audio applications....if you burn at 8x is almost guarenteed to work. It might take some extra time, but it beats waiting for about 2 minutes between tracks

If it's still under warranty, get an updated head unit. My 99 TL was doing the same, even discs burned at 4x. With my new head unit, burned discs at 48x work without any problems! However, it is true that the higher the speed, the less compatible it may be with older players automotive (especially) or otherwise.
