Does anyone have any technical information as to why the glove compartment on the TL is so tiny?
Is there something behind there that take up space?

The glove compartment on my honda civic is more than twice the size!

there are two micron filters behind it for your a/c...your Civic doesn't have one.

 

Is the mircon air filter "neccesary"? Do other cars have them, like toyota..so on? Can we remove the micron air filter without having a noticable effect that there is more dirt/dust in the car? Because i want more glove compartment space...and if i can remove them...that would be great. Planing to stick a tiny PC in there...hook up a USB GSP to it, doubles as a mp3 and dvd player

 

The micron air filters are for the airconditioning system and in my experience you typically find them on higher end vehicles. These filters are what allow you to be behind a diesel truck and not smell it.

 

Remove the micron filter to get more glove compartment? You have got to be ****ting me.

 

You are in a dreamworld. The only thing the filters do is remove particles in the air, especially for those who suffer from allergies. The only way to stop the diesel smell is the recirculating button.
