Hey, I am looking into tinting my windows and was thinking 35%, if anyone has 35 all around could you post up some pics for me... BTW I have a Laguna TL, so I was thinkin black tints, either 3M or llumar... any other good brands to look for, and also any other things I need to know before I go looking for a tint shop? Thanks guys

 

Lumar is good film. 3M makes a decent film but the process leaves it kind of cloudy. Pinnacle is the other brand -- EXTREMELY expensive, and ceramic based -- no need for that on our car -- it's mainly used for higher end BMW, etc where metallic tint can block radio reception, etc.

As far as 35% all around -- if you have a state law where you can't tint your front windows, be careful with it. 35% is actually pretty dark, and VERY noticible at night. In CA, where we can't tint in the front at all, the darkest I could get it without being overtly obvious was 50% in front -- went 15% in back and it looks well balanced -- no contrast problems.

if ohio isnt all that strict id get 20% back wundshield and 35% on all 4 doors as a minimum thats what i have , i was thinking about doing the back doors 20% also but i didnt kno how well it would match the fronts or i would have done that.

That's what I did... 20% Madico Onyx on the back 3 windows, and 35% on the upfront sides...

 

Have you guys heard of Sunguard tint? I got a quote at $175 for 35 all around, I still have to call around, but the shop looked very professional and clean and the guy was nice cuz I know his boss pretty well so he's givin me a bit of a discount
