Tint

I have a friend at my work, who just bout a 2004 Accord with the Navi. He said he was reading in the manuel that if you tint the windows that it will mess up the navi. It said that most tint has some properties that will interfeer with the GPS. Has anyone heard of this? I was wondering b/c I have navi in 99 and was thinking about getting my windows tinted.

I got 35% on my windows and never once had an issue. I don't know why that would affect anything?

It the metallic window films that can cause a problem. On the '04 it is only the rear window you have to worry about.

I'm going to have Formula One Pinnacle put on mine, it is a ceramic based film so there is no chance of interference. Many people have put on metallized films and not had a problem, but if you want to play it safe, look for a ceramic film.

umm i have 15% tint all around and have experienced no problems, i would steer away from metallic based tints as i think thats what they are reffering to.
