Timing belt question

At what milage is it recommended that the timing belt be changed on a 2000 3.2? Also if anyone has had one done at a dealer what should i expect to pay Thanks G

Although they are warranted to last a little longer then the figures I am quoting, my timing belts are changed out after 5 years, or between 60K-70K miles, which ever comes first.
Rubber dies real quickly in the Florida heat.

expect about $400. While they're in there, have them prelace the water pump(add $100), themostat(about $50), and drive belts(just parts). Might as well do it all at once instead of paying the money again later.

check the owners manual for milage recomendations

I had mine done last year or so and it was $635 at the dealer incl. water pump. Done at 102,000 miles. They did the drive belts too.

Yes the 90K mile service has an optional water pump/timing belt service!! I paid 400 for my tb/wp service on my Legend because of a friend that works at the dealer!! This included all drive belts, water pump, and a new lower radiator hose !! I would recommend you do this service at at least 100K...I did mine at 105K (it was just too expensive to do on time )!! IMO 60K is just a bit excessive, sorry man!!

Decided to get the timing belt changed while it is in for the new tranny. New timing belt, water pump and drive belts. I was quoted prices from local dealers from my dealer low of $725 to $850. I guess things cost more in Northern NJ. Once again Park Ave. Acura comes through for a new customer!
