Timing Belt

Timing Belt
Hi,
I understand it is a good idea to replace the water pump at the time of the timing belt change, but do we need other related parts to be changed as well? Like tensioner, oil seal, etc.?
Thanks much

its not necessary. unless you see something wrong or a seal leaking.

while it may not be *necessary* to change your water pump when you do the timing belt, it would just be easier because of the amount of work to take the belt off in the first place. if you for some reason had to go in and do the water pump later, you would be charged for removing the timing belt and readjusting the timing afterwards.
considering the price/labor to do the pump when you allready have the belt off it is just a better investment to do them together. BUT, you could always argue that it's under warranty, or that most hondas/acuras don't get water pump leaks, etc., so why bother. it's all up to the individual really.
if you do the water pump, since you have to take the crank pulley off (i'm assuming you'll have it off, because i know you have to remove it on just about every other fwd car), i would say just do the main seal while you're in there (provided you feel comfortable doing so). no reason not to do it while you're down there.
