ticking/weird noise while accelerating...

I'm at about 55k miles, whenever i accelerate, up to half throttle, my car is making a sort of ticking noise. You can't hear it outside of the car at all. The best way i can describe it is like a drumroll, but not as high pitched and spaced out. Any ideas?

It is possible that the rust from the end of your front rotors is coming in contact with the brake pad's stainless steel shims as you drive. I could hear the noise with my window down, however.

The Acura dealer found this problem on my car & cleaned (ground off) off the rust on edge of the rotor.
Presto, no more ticking noise.

And no charge per the dealer!

Good luck
