Post Throttle Response??

Anyone notice that there is a slight delay when hitting the throttle in automatic as compared to SportShift? Seems like it takes the computer a split second to figure out which gear to be in, which it doesn't need to do in SportShift.

The gears in my tl seem to switch smoother in the automatic mode than in SS most of the time.

Yeah, most recently this problem cropped up. I had the dealer check it out at 15K service and was told it was "in spec". I'm still not convinced, I will have this rechecked at every service until repaired or until a more serious problem crops up.

I have the same problem as well. I just thought Honda engines do not get power until higher RPM's. I test drove European cars such as the volvo s40, golf & jetta and they felt like they had more power at take off. I assumed it was normal. Am I wrong? Is there something wrong with the transmission?
