To those of you in New York........
I really hope you guys are ok. Not only as TL or whatever drivers, but to the American people who were victims to this horrendous act. I really hope all of you are ok and and to everybody everywhere else. Let's hope this doesn't happen where you are at.

Same here...I have a close friend that works in the world trade center and haven't been able to get into contact with her as of yet....keep your fingers crossed...Luckily my aunt that works in manhattan is ok...
As for me...we've just got notice our building is being shut down to the public and we are to stay at our own risk...since I do work in Downtown LA...I think I'll skidaddle on outta here....
My condolences to anyone involved directly, indirectly...it's affected us all...and it's a sad day....for the U.S.

I can't believe this. My cousin worked at the the World Trade Building that went down first. Thank God he got out safely and he worked at the 50th floor. I hope everyone and everyone's families and friends are ok. This is so sad

JFK international airport is shut down till at least noon tomorrow. Lot of rumours and gosip going around so I can't say how acurate it is. But I have been watching the smoke from the WTC all day here from my office and it's sickening, there is nothing on the horizon where once the WTC stood. My sister's best friends brother had a meeting on the 52 floor of the WTC this morning and was missing for hours until this afternoon where he was located at one of the hospital's injured and shocked but alive (not completely himself yet, he is in shock among his injuries).
I have heard all the terminals have been evacuated, yet I'm stuck here at Kennedy with my bosses calling me asking for this info and that as if it's a normal day!!
Most important of of all, I pray for everybody who has been affected by this unimaginable act. My prayers and condolence's too all those victim's and ther families. So many thousand's of innocent people killed.......................why?

I say deliver the A-Bomb to the middle east
I saw everything, I work 1 block away from the world trade. I worried sick for all my friends who work in the world trade buildings.
When pearl harbor was attacked we retaliated with hiroshima. The middle east will not be laughing very soon.
I say we give them a taste of the Atomic bomb.

Until today the biggest terrorist attack on American soil was done by Timothy McVeigh, a full blooded American..... Killing more innocent people would put us at the same level as the cowards who did this... I choose to focus on praying for those who are suffering at this moment and who's lives will be forever changed... PEACE

Here is what I posted on SoundSpeed's post ( http://www.acura-tl.com/forum/showth...threadid=21892 )....
Well, I'll be the first to check in.... I was scheduled to be in NYC (3 blocks from the WTC) at 11am, so we were just leaving when the planes hit. Thank god we didn't go and thank god our appointment wasn't earlier. Our building in Harrison closed at 11am, so I was home around noon. Hopefully others will reply with good news.....

dude, my firm's main office has 3 floors in 2 WTC. Luckily I work in the westechester office 80% of the time. From what I heard this morning just about all of my office of over 300 people was accounted for (thank god my friends go to work late). We were dumbfounded when we saw our own office building literaly obliterated.
NYC will never be the same w/out the twin towers.

Good luck all you NY guys...the only time I was in the WTC was a year ago when I took the PATH train from NJ to have lunch in the park across the street...glad I was at least able to see it once before this happened so I have the memory. It's hard to believe they're gone.

"I say whatever they did to us, we do 100 times worse to them. For every 1 american that was killed, we kill 100 of them"
Um, you have to know who the 'them' is first.
Why don't you go beat up an Arab cab driver or something, he's one of 'them' according to you.
It's attitudes like this that make the world hate America in the first place.
Don't get me wrong, those that are guilty should die a slow torterous death...those that are guilty.

The reason why we must send the A-Bomb now is to prevent more INNOCENT lives in america to die. I can care less about innocent lives in enemy countrys.
Also did you see women and children dancing, cheering and laughing us americans who are in suffering. what about the people who had to jump from the world trade center 100 stories hight because they have no where else to go.
There fore i declare you *NyC* Diktaetor stupid and ignorant. Open your eyes and see what is going on.

Okay, i'm posting one more time and that's it. I choose not to speak to you again.
Look nothing is CERTAIN, and if it was, com'on guys. I KNOW how you feel...my college is very close to DC(Johns Hopkins), and my very close friend goes to George Washington University, which is IN Washington DC. Both his and my family live in NY, and my parents work 20 blocks away from the WTC. When i heard the news i was enraged...I tried calling my parents for 10 hours before i got through, so i've been through a lot. But NOTHING that i experienced will ever even COME CLOSE to people who lost their close ones. I'm truly sorry for that. However, killing MORE INNOCENT people is just wrong. I don't know how you can so easily say "kill, kill, kill" everybody in the middle east, when you've just seen how much pain a tragedy can bring. I, too, want revenge, but only on those people who committed this cowardly act. Your anger is acceptable, but let's try controlling it. And who are you to call me stupid? You're the one coming up with totally irrational solutions. And OBVIOUSLY YOU ARE THE STUPID ONE, thinking that the A-BOMB was a SMART DECISION by the US. Check out the library dude, and read some articles, because TWO A-BOMBS WERE DEFINITELY NOT NECESSARY...in fact, it was downright stupid....

They all need to die...This may be my NY anger talk, but i dont care...

As was stated before the biggest terrorist attack on US soil prior to this attack was McVeighs attack in Oklahoma. Maybe after you are done with the Arabs you can take care of all the blond Haired, blue eyed White males????
Before you pull the "you are from NY and wont understand" excuse, I am from NY; born and raised. Working currently in hospitals in Queens, the Bronx, and Brooklyn. St Vincents hospital which bore the brunt of the patients after this tragedy is our affiliate. I could still see the smoke and the huge void in the sky today which chokes me up every time I looked that way. The hospitals I work for haven only seen a few of the patients from this disaster, but one site has been receiving corpses and has made a makeshift morgue.
The grim reality of the situation is that most of the people who were treated are the people who were already outside the building and caught in the debris. Even today and yesterday most of the people seeking treatment have been the rescuers themselves who were getting injured; not survivors who were in the building during the collapse. Colleagues able to make it to St. Vincents that night stood around not doing much, there was plenty of staff as they had hit a lull which continued till now as there was no one to treat. Coroners and Medical Examiners are needed more than Dr.
Despite all that I wouldnt take any pleasure out of seeing innocents die. I want the heads of the people responsible after they die a slow painful death. I want all those responsible for financing, harboring, and aiding in any way shape of form these cowardly bastards to be punished as well. Retribution must be paid, and Jail time, fines or sanctions will not do. I see military actions against all those responsible as the only solution. Bringing this destruction to them in their backyards is the only way I see for us to convey the message that the actions they took will not go without consequences 100x worse than what they did in the first place. They should be crippled beyond belief to the extent that actions like this are never undertaken again for fear of reprisals. If it takes War, so be it. It has already been declared on us. Innocents may die, that happens in War, but targeting innocent people makes you no better than those gutless terrorist bastards you so despise. And that attitude and actions wont be tolerated here in my home of NY and on this board.

P.S. about the people who in reports were said to be dancing and celebrating in the streets right here in NY/NJ, not even talking about the Middle East; they deserved getting the **** kicked out of them. VR6 Id agree to do with them whatever you want. Anyone so ignorant, heartless and just plain evil to do something like that at a time like this deserves whatever they get. If they despise the US that much, they should just get the **** out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People like are making it rough on others out there who are peaceful, law abiding immigrants who are trying to make a living, raise a family, live their dreams which brought them here in the first place. Proud and happy to be in the US; this Great Country of ours.

I think the posts here need to get back to the original idea of sending our greetings and condolences to the victims' families and friends in NY. Let's not forget Wash., DC. This was a terrible act that will be rectified, but for now our support should be with the wonderful volunteers: fire, police and medical personnel, and others who are risking their lives sifting through the rubble, tending to the victims, consoling the families and doing whatever is asked of them to assist. While we sit here in the safety of our homes in front of our computers, they are sweating blood for the victims and for us. God Bless all of them. And for those who don't believe in God, please bless them with your own type of support.
