To those who know how to replace lower control arms
About to replace lower control arms in next few days and need some info, I can't quite find any videos on how to replace, I watched the trans removal vid on YouTube and when he unbolted his he had to raise trans to clear the bolt. Is that right? Will I need to raise trans and unbolt trans mount and then take out bolt?
Also is it simpler on pass side? Since it doesn't look like anything to clear??(I'm assuming didn't see this part on video)

Yes I am, doesn't the bolt "C" run into other components? Like does the trans mount need to be removed?
It's what it looked like in video I saw, but I was just wondering before I jumped into a project. I wasn't sure if there was some sort of trick to replace without tran mount removal.

Yes technically you have to remove the rear transmission mount to get the lca rear bolt out because its too long and hits the rear trans mount.
It is possible to get the lca bolt out of the frame but you have to put some major angle stress on the bolt with a prybar which could cause damage to the area. Plus its a big pita to put the bolt back in the same way you got it out.
I recommend jacking the trans up and removing the rear mount as this is the best way even though it takes a little longer.

@musiclevelz5 thank you sir exactly what I was wondering, appreciate the info! @Skirmich I was making sure the only right way to do it was to remove trans mount and all, appreciate the help sir!
And @chojun thank you very much for posting the right up page, will defiantly be useful!

Well, I've noticed that the service manual leaves out the fact that other parts are in the way all the time. Many times they just assume you know that a fairly large assembly or part needs to be removed first.
