Almost 3years of ownership 2000TL a little over 28,000 miles.
No tranny problems had 30,000 mile service done at 22,500 in May. This included trans fluid flush & trans conditioner added. I am covered under that warranty for as long as I own this car.

Re: No problems
2001 CL, 22,500 miles not a single problem with tranny (knock on the wood)
BUT, some other **** is driving me nuts:
Window regulator sucks ( one replaced, another one is about to go bad)
Rattle dash board = will complain to dealer
sqeaky driver's seat
driver's seat back stoped getting warmed(used to work before) = will complain
cluncking sound under the hood, must be one of the pulley is bad.....
The car is nice and all, but I am not impressed with quality and durability of things.... must be american build... Nissan Maxima seems to have better build, eventhough I hate Maxima's design, interior, the way it drives and etc.
I think they screwed up with quality .... These CL/TL are no longer the same in quality as good old Acura Legend or Integra(both built in Japan).
Can the US ever build cars with good quality??

26K miles on the 02 TL-S and no tranny problems, but I just cannot get the dealer to correct the squeaky seat belt problem. I'm just about ready to trade this thing in on an Infiniti G35 coupe due to the squeak issue.

27 k and no problems, actually quite happy with the smooth shifts.
Listen up everybody, for those who think the tranny will crap out on you on the freeway on a long trip, think again. If your car acts 100% normal, there is no way it will suddenly drop into 2nd gear at 70 mph! Ask anyone who had a problem, there were warnings for several weeks before it fully let go. I think this tranny thing has gone too far. Owners should start to realize this problem is not such a big deal, and we are covered for 100k/7 yrs. TAKE YOUR LONG TRIPS AND ENJOY THEM!
Also, regarding the rattles problem. Dont think we are the only ones with the problem. I have a 2k Lexus GS 400, there are enough dashboard rattles, squeky driver seat, other noises. And that lexus was made in JAPAN. For any of you that think a car will be noise and rattle free, think again. Every car will make a noise here and there, regardless of where the car is built.

I agree that all cars will have some rattles (my '02 M3 convertible has zero rattles), but the issue quite honestly is that the dealers (3 so far) cannot get rid of the rattle. Nice folks at the dealer service departments, but they cannot fix a two bit rattle.
OK, I'm off my soap box.

**Some people don't understand that rattles are the toughest problem in a car to fix. If your car won't start, it is pretty straight forward to diagnois. If it rattles, it is very difficult to find exactly where it is coming from. The SC430 is a rattle trap. We just replaced a sunvisor, pass.seat track and insulated pass.door panel for a customer. I drove with him when he picked up to make sure everything was okay before he drove 35 miles home and he gave it a thumbs up. Three days later he called me back to say it was rattling again. It's a convertible with an aluminum top dude!!! Every time it goes up and down, things change. Live with it and enjoy the car. Sorry for ranting!

About 18k on it. No problems. No rattles, squeaks, nothing. (knock on fake wood).
Oh wait, one of the sills raised up, need to post a message about that.
