For Those With Hawk Performance Brake Pads

I just want to make sure that I got correct rear brake pads for '02 TLS. I have:

Hawk Performance
HB145F.570
D536/D537

Is this the correct one? The reason I'm asking is that these pads have an alignment tab on the back of the pad. I noticed that the brake pad from my car (OEM pad) does not have any tab. Do you think I could just grind the tab away? What did everyone do about this tab?

Thanks

i had the fronts installed a few weeks ago and my mechanic just installed them without removing anything. i havent had any problems with the pads.... you might just want to install them as they are!

Well, my rear brake pads have tub where the piston makes a contact with the pads. So I don't think I can just install it without removing it. By any chance, do you know the parts number? By the way, thanks for your reply.

Anyone else?

Have you checked the part numer from a site online, like tirerack.com?

FYI, I'm on my 2nd set of hawk pads - be prepared to go through rotors. Mine ate my irotors.com rotors in a pretty short amount of time (about as long as the pads lasted).

I got my pads from tirerack. I talked to one of their representatives, so unless they sent me a wrong item, I should have the correct pads. But vipvop, did your rear pads have tubs on the back?

No idea, I didn't even look at them before I had someone else install them, sorry.
