I am thinking of bidding on or offering this guy a price on this TL. Anyone on this site own this TL or know the person that does. It would be a good deal at 17,000 if you ask me. Most of the upgrades are simply appearance or cosmetic which doesn't bother me much. The neons don't tickle my fancy but those can be removed in no time at all. 55,000 miles is about average this day in age. Anyone have comments both positive or negative, or suggestions??

Yea the neons in and out would have to off, I totally agree. That was my other question. Do the 99's have bad transmission problems too, because I doubt this one is still under warranty from Acura. That could also be a reason for the sale, the transmission could be slipping.

Yeah they do, mine is being replaced right now as we speak, at 85k, but your warranty, if youll read the post about this right down this page, just got extended to 100k so youre covered..no worries even if the reason for the sell is a slipping tranny.
good luck bro

i have a 99TL with 41,000miles, with stock rims, no neons, and upgraded air filter. u can have it for $18,000. Green, on beige, everything works great, except sub woofer. (Dont Like It, but who does?).

Con.
They guy said he has WW bodykit but its an OEM kit. I'm not feeling the rims either. He has short ram installed and if you live in a hot place, i wouldn't recommend it. Engine bay looks more messy then stock. Neon.......on a TL.........give me a break. Remus exhaust sticks out too much.
Pro
He does have mugen spoiler, and value eye lids. Which are hard to get these days. and coilover. Aftermarket CD player (so you don't have to worry about playing CD-RS). 55k is average milage. Car looks clean from the pics. Still should have it checked out.
I wouldn't play more then 16k tho.
He was better off selling the aftermarket stuff piece by piece. (unless he didn't keep his OEM stuff)

Bro can you show me some pics of the black chrome kit on your car? I looked at your album but your hood and trunk are up in all of them. (sorry for hijacking the thread)

Definetly right about the kit, but I think the OEM is far better than the Wings West anyway. I love the rims personally, but its just my opinion. Guess the transmission wouldn't be an issue after all. Like I said the engine dress up kit and neons could taken out very easily, and would be. I guess I'll wait and see where the bidding goes and make a decision from there.
