Question thinking of buying a 03 tl type s

Should i buy it? The car has 97K miles. Tranny has been just replaced. How long does this normally last before the tranny goes out again. Test drove the car, its drives and shifts great. Im just paranoid from all the transmission problems that these car has. Inputs please. Thanks.

If it hasn't been done already, it's also coming up on the 105K timing belt/water pump service. That can cost around $1000, could be less or in some cases more, depending where you take it. The replacement transmissions have been holding up pretty well for the most part. I've got about 17K+ miles on mine and it's been working fine. *knocks on wood* If you can get a good deal I'd say go for it.

Yeah, but that price is if you take it to the dealer. I got my timing belt/water pump/all related seals + brake fluid flushed for <$600 from a reputable Honda/Acura only mechanic. He's had his repair shop for ~ 10 years and does great work. I'm sure if you look around your area, you can probably find a mechanic you can trust.
