I'd be like that that guy in the volkswagen commercial where he's at a store and he sees a shopping cart heading towards the side of his car....so he runs back and tackles the cart just so his car doesn't get dented. I would pretty much do the same if I saw my car about to get hit by a shopping cart.

I was rear-ended a couple days ago in my TL. I was glad it was the TL and not my 330XI; I care more about that car (because I like it more) than this one.
So, I'd let my TL take a hit for my other car.

I spent $80 on two jars of Estee Lauder face cream for my leather seats when I first got my '03 TL. Only the finest conditioners for the skin on my seats...=D

I rub mine down with a diaper every morning before its deep cleansing face mask and deep body massage. After that, she spends a few hours in the mud baths so I know she’s relaxed.

Then, another diaper.

Yep. I completely agree with you.

I park far away from other cars to prevent dents. I would walk the extra distance gladly.

Just in general, I'm anal about where I park, where my car is, and I'm a prick when it comes to people around my car. Everyone who knows me already knows not to put their hands on the car, much less lean on it. I've already exploded a couple times in anger because stupid people lean on it. Then they give me this "What the hell do you care? It's a car." Of course, they usually drive some 80's POS.

I don't even let more than 2 people (less if heavy) sit in the back of my car because I'm worried about my suspension.

But I still take her out and drive it like I stole it. She likes it mean and rough, only if I treat her well afterwards. :o

no the suspension thing I don't care about. But I have the same problem with people, especially some of my good friends. One of my friends insists that right after I wax he puts his greasy hands on the car, or even better slide across my hood. Once he almost attempted to slide across the hood, and I nearly killed him. Till this day he knows how anal I am about the paint job and overall exterior look of the car. We seemed to have battled out our differences, and he knows now never to **** around with the car. It's now at the point where he yells at people when they f*ck around with my car, cause he knows how much I care for it.

But for the suspension thing, I on many occassions have ridden with 4 ppl in the back. Based on how the car feels on the initial take off, I'll either let it go, or tell someone to get out cause it's too heavy. Generally if I have 4 ppl in the back seat, they are all girls.

When the suspension was stock, I didn't mind having 3 people in the back. But after I lowered it, I'm very picky and cautious.

I treat it like the whore it is. Get in it, get what I want out of it, and get out.

If you feel this way about your acura, i recmmend a test drive in a previous generation Audi S4. Ilike my ack too, but that car is much faster and more fun to drive, and it isnt even that fast anymore by today's standards (0-60 in 5.5s) One of these cars even costs about as much as a type-s.

Yeah, I am pretty finicky about where I find my parking too. I look for the isolated corner spot far away from the grandmas with the big Buicks with heavy doors.

My wife always freaks when she finds how far away I parked. One time I freaked on a lady who parked her rusty old ancient toyota beside mine (she had to park right beside me when there's so may other spots???!!). She then opens her door, then I felt the thud. I stepped out and freaked, man. I mean I lost it on her. She was so terrified, she moved to another spot.

Also, my kids have a cardinal rule not to eat and drink in the car. Consume everything before entering the car, I said. Thankfully my kids are well behaved ('coz they know how much I freak out about the car.)

Checking weather forecasts to see if I can wash.

Checking traffic and construction reports to plan alternate routes (don't want caked-on mud on my fender wells)

Have a little bottle of Goo-Gone for those smudges of tire dressing that splashes on the fenders.

Spend more time "checking-back" on the car than actually shopping to see if its "OK"

Park my car far away whenever I can, which is not the case when I live. The apartment complex has designated parking and I have to park my car next to a 80-something Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme with 8-9 paint colors in it. I hate it!

No food or drinks permitted inside.

I'm just as anal as you guys when it comes to my tl`s. No eating, smoking, drinking, no touching windows, no drawing smiley faces on my windows (usually doesn't happen b/c I don't let my car fog at all), basically...if your riding in my car, you sit still and don't move unless you ask me to do something. Oh, my biggest pet peeve is people always hitting my side-skirts when they get into my car *especially girls w/high-heeled shoes.* Parking far and away from cars is everyday for me, wherever..whenever This way you don't come back to your car and find a door ding thinking "...#@$%^@ I should've parked away from the cars."

Every morning I pull her out of the Climate control Garage. She first gets a nice spristing with some Zomal detailing mist, Then a once over the windows with Invisable glass, then clean the rims and tires.
Once a week She gets vacuumed, and Leather cleaned and conditioned with Lexor. The motor gets wiped down with back to black.
But at Night I run Her like the ***** she is!
