Temperature gauge rising when AC is running
Temperature gauge rising when AC is running. I went to the carwash and pressure wash the condenser and radiator bit the problem continued when i turn the AC on. My expansion valve was changes about 3 weeks ago. Any suggestion.

First, make sure BOTH cooling fans come on whenever the ac clutch engages. I know one is called a radiator fan, and one is called a condensor fan, but both of them must come on with the air conditioning.

Always Working In
The passenger fan is tied to the a/c. It should come on when the a/c is on. The driver side fan is the radiator fan. The passenger fan may also run when the engine reaches very high temperatures to help the radiator fan with cooling.

does the driver side fan turn on and off when sitting without ac- at idle for several minutes?
it should cycle on for 30-60 seconds to catch a small increase in temp then go back off
driver fan working- is the real question?
if its working, is the sensor for it working correctly- 99 its located up next to thermostat, top of engine
Does the driver fan run for more than 1-2 minutes after shutdown when reading normal temp?? and when hot? what is hot to you?
pressure wash was not the best idea, so lets look for water/electrical connection
as a possibility
radiator: cap condition? coolant level up to the neck? and the res bottle is around the middle? hose attached inside res cap?
ugly in res bottle or clean good fluid?
coolant age, water pump age? leakage from bottem of water pump?
Are you moving when temp goes up,,spikes as soon as ac turned on ,,at idle--more specifics please

ok I just fixed my exact same issue. my coolent and thermostat are good but my drivers side fan never turned on
with the engine off
1) pop the hood and note the connectors on the top of each fan. unhook each and plug into the other fan
2) turn engine on and also the AC. now your drivers side fan should turn on - if it does not then that is your problem (dead fan)
you can get one at any auto parts store or order online. prices range from $50 - $100+ depending on the brand and where you get it from.
3) order new fan
4) install new fan by removing connector from the top of the fan and the 2 small bolts that hold it to the radiator. it will all come right out from the top and now put new fan in using the same reverse steps.
5) turn on the engine with the AC and go for a quick drive - BOTH fans should be running when you are done
