teins with edfc unit.
hey guys im thinking about gettting some tein ss coilovers with the edfc control unit.
i know a shop near me that says they can do it for me 1450 out the door installed..
is this good? deal?
i think is.
also for those with teins, do you have any camber problems?
cause im planning to drop it 1 inch from stock and prob. leave it that way....
any thoughts are very appreacited.

camber does change when you lower the ride from stock height, but i doubt 1" will have much effect on your tires. you probably want to do an alignment afterwards. i think the teins go for about $850 (shipped?) and the edfc is probably $300, so you are looking at about $300 install with your price. high??? i think so. but if you include tax, then that's about $200. then it's not too bad. if you don't want to bother looking around wasting time like me, i would probably do it for that price.
Yes the Teins are $850 and the EDFC is $300 with hookup. As far as cambers...that's up to you, if you have expensive tires...by all means get camber kits. As for me on my stock tires...I'm not going to spend the money just yet.

teins have the ride adjustment (ie, making it ride softer or harder) and you accomplish this my turning a knob at the top of the strut. the fronts are easy...pop up the hood. as for the rears, you will have to remove the rear upper cushion to gain access or drill a hole in the rear deck. basically, the edfc does away with all that...you have unit in the cabin to control everything, just hit a button up or down and the setting changes.

So does it not adjust the ride height? only softer and harder ride settings?

JB: Yea the EDFC only adjust the stiffness...it also has like 3 memory settings so you can program for total comfort or sport like for the track or just general sport for street racing or so.
asiankidd: how do we know it works? Arnold (blxmjx) test fitted it on our friend's CL to see if it would work on the CL...no go...but the TL fits fine.

Actually this might be more helpful...the model number for the EDFC is EDK01-10100 and the website link is http://www.tein.com/acura.html scroll to the bottom of the page
