I believe the TCS light actually represents your traction control system however I may be wrong and if that is the case then something may be wrong with your traction control system because my light only comes on if I turn the system on or if I'm burning tires or something.

TL_Bad, how were the conditions of the street? Was it wet or maybe slipepry?
I had my light flash on for a quick second when I was turning kind of quik to another street and it was raining.
I think it auto detects when it needs to come on. But this is the 1st time for me. ALls great here

the roads were fine but it comes and stays on until i cut the car off. then after driving for a lil while it comes back on. no problem of tranny failure though. i know when its going bad.

the tcs light often comes on any time the check engine light is on. bring it to a auto zone or like store and have tehm read the code for you, then come back to us.

i think the tcs light comes on becuase of my rotors issues too. i took it to the dealer one time and they told me rotors are going bad and i needed to have them turn. i haven been able to turn them yet so i think thats why the tcs light on. thanks guys

I had the same exact problem a week ago, I was driving my 99TL when all of a sudden I lost power and shortly after me engine light and tcs light came on. I continue to drive home and the car felt like it was about to cut off.
My car have 99,000 miles on it, so I drove it to my mechanic and it was my engine coils(2) went bad. So I changed all six coils it cost me $259.00, thanks to my friend he works for Acura, so I got his employee discount. My friend and I put them in and Viola!!!!! PROBLEM FIXED.
Now my car is running like a beast. I had a complete tune up done about 3 months ago.
