TCS and ABS lights on??? Help?

Last week I put my foot down to merge into traffic and both the ABS and TCS lights came on. I drove a few miles and turned the car off then back on at a light to try and reset them but that failed. So I finished driving to work, turned the car off then on again and they both stayed off. However, the lights have been coming and going and always come on together. Wife claims that the brakes went out on her a little yesterday. Anybody else have this problem? Aside from taking it to the dealer any suggestions??

Yeah, I made an appointment with Acura but I wanted to see if anybody had the same problem in the past. I dont recall seeing anything on it over the last year or so.

My VSA light turns on from time to time but when I turn the car off and it's gone so I figure if I bring it to the dealer I can't duplicate. O well

TCS and ABS

Did anyone ever find out what causes both the ABS and TCS lights to come on. I would like to have some idea as to why this is happening before I take it to the dealer.

The TCS and ABS are tied together because the both use the same wheel speed sensors. If a sensor is going bad it will cause both lights to come on at the same time. Each time you start the car the TCS and ABS perform a self check, if there is no problem with the systems then the lights do not come on. It could mean that a sensor is starting to go bad.
