Question TB Coolant Bypass

I was reading another forum and I noticed someone mention the TB Coolant Bypass but have been unable to find any more information about it. I know what it would do if you bypass it but my question is why does the coolant go through the TB from the factory and what kind of gains can you expect to see from this mod?

It goes thru it for the colder climates. It keeps it warm so that in the winter months things dont freeze. Its simple takes 5 min to do. Minimal.

Don't really expect to see any noticeable gains from it. Like fsttyms said, it's just to warm things in colder climates. You shouldn't have to worry about that (things freezing) being in FL, even in the winter months.

With the intake removed

This is the bottom of the intake manifold/throttle body. You will be doing it upside down.
