tannny question

hi guys, it looks like a lot of you have a tranny problem with your car. we bought TL-S in July, 2002. and it doesnt look like its having any problems.

when you say a tranny problem, what exactly happens? car dies or something or what?

the car feels like it drives a little different than when we first got it. maybe my mom just doesnt really take care of it. thanks for the help guys.

Oh, woe is the tranny. The world come to an end. You careen off the road into a raveen in a firey ball of...

You can do a search and see all kinds of stuff.
Mine had just some slight, delayed shifting for a long period of time that the dealer said was normal. I like it akin to a slipping clutch where it just kinda takes it's time changing gears...This went on for 15 or 20k miles or so...
Then, I happened to pull next to a Mustang GT who wanted to go and I got all over it when the light turned green. I had it in s/s, it shifted to second automatically without problem, when I went to hit third it went directly into fifth! I backed off the gas pedal and when I downshifted, it went from fifth to third, then went into second, from second it continued to go directly to fifth...
I drove in in auto at 50mph or so to the dealer and that was that. Nothing else happened...
