Tan interior to black interior.

I have read a thread on this before, but has anyone ever done this? I mean it can't be that hard right? The carpet is probably the hardest part.. If anyone has black interior and wants to trade for tan i'd be willing.

I've wanted to do this as well, don't really like the tan, especially in green car. But would have to do the dash and everything as well, which would be more difficult then the carpet, which actually should be easy once everything else is removed.

Find a junked out TL and take all the interior out and transfer it to your vehicle. I bet you could do it on the cheap.

Yeah, try to find a complete black interior from your local salvage yard. Make sure that ya get all of the electrical hardware and stuff while you're at it.

If ya decide to part out your old tan interior.....PM me !!! thanks.

^ i did this with the doors and the carpet and mixed and matched my door panels to the black panels for a subtle 2 tone (fern interior stock). I think i paid like 40 bucks for the door panels and carpet and center console/lower dash pieces.

I saw a black dash board on Ebay not that long ago in great shape for like 75

Looks beautiful! I've wanted to go from black to tan (silver exterior), but sadly, there aren't many junked TL's in the area. 0/3 on TL's currently in local junkyards. When talking about the carpeting, does the ceiling also change colors from grey to tan? I've never been in a tan TL, and I also don't look up, so sorry for the stupid question. The ceiling sounds like the most difficult part to me.

there are 3 colors, Light fern, Beige and Seagull Grey. Removing the headliner is pretty easy. Im dying mine black to finish the dark interior off (wrapped the A,B.C pillars in black suede)
