I've searched all over, and couldn't find anything on our 2g TL tan-to-black interior swap/conversion. I'm mainly interested in finding a how-to for the dashboard. Has anyone ever done this? If so, any guidance in removing the dashboard?

 

Download a copy of the Factory Service Manual. Search for the info or spray dye the dash.

 

The links to the FSM download are all old and dead.

 

its simple just take off the tan and replace with black i done it on 2 tl

 

^^^ Removal of the dashboard is a rather difficult undertaking. Lots of fasteners and wiring to deal with.
IMO, ya may cause other problems in the process.

 

Its really not that hard. Most everything that gets unplugged gets unplugged into the 2 multiplexes and is pretty self explanatory. I know i posted the service manual directions to the dash removal once. Searching between here and the 2nd gen CL board should yield results.

 

I downloaded the 2nd gen FSM a month ago but I cannot remember where it was from. Try googling it. I know you can still get it.
