I was cruisin home on the freeway the other night and came up on this FUGLYMOBILE from a distance. I first thought that it was a G35, since I haven't yet seen one in person. As I got closer, I saw the CTS emblem on the back... DAMN, that's one FUGLY BOX! I kind of floated back and forth along side of it for a minute checking it out from all sides. Then I slowly but surely zoomed off away from it!

Just what's under the hood in one of those things? I found myself wanting to just slam it into third and "dust it" just because it was so ugly. But the guy driving it didn't pay me any mind and I don't taunt people. BUT if one of those FUGLY things taunted me... What would happen if I gave it a run? Again, what's inside one of those things that would make somebody want to buy it??? :yack:

 

Well ....its the first RWD Cadi in a long time, handles great with almost perfect 50/50 wheight dist. and the sport package, you can get it with a stick (wow, 5spd Getrag) or Auto, and puts out about 220HP from a DOHC 24V V6.

0-60 is right under 7 seconds, and the interior is not too bad. So those are some reasons, but your right.....its DAMN FUGLY though.

Its trying too hard to fit the new Cadi image that now it, the Escalade, and future cadis will have.

 

CTS looks alright for a cady, I heard they were making a 400HP version of it. What I really think is fugly is the Catera.

 

Well....it's the 2nd RWD Cadi in a long time. It replaces the ugly (as Moo says) Opel built and problematic Catera. The CTS (Cadillac Touring Sedan) is now built in the good old USA on the new "Sigma" platform.

It weighs around 3500lbs. and has a 220hp with 218lbs of torque from a 3.2L V-6.

Get used to the styling as this is Cadillacs new "Art & Science" design theme which will be the theme for future Cadillac's.

Until the small block LT1??? V-8 is placed under the hood, we (Type-S) can deal with them I suppose.

 

What's up with the 'Amrikan' auto manufacturers going with the "boxy" styling. DAMMIT IT MAKES ME SICK!@!!!!

Case in point....the Pontiak Aztec. 'Nuff said.
