Question T-Belt replacement

Hey all,

I went out to owners link on Acura.com and tried to determine when they recommend changing out the t-belt. I looked at all of the service intervals from 60k to 120k and saw nothing.
What is the recommended change out for the belt under "normal" driving conditions. I have a 99 with 96k right now(original tranny btw)

Its okay your not due for the change for a little bit.
I have an old dealer maintenance schedule book that I got when I purchased my 2000TL. This has maintenace schedule for some 96- 01 ACURA models. Now the book is a little wrong when it comes to the 99 3.2 TL. It says the Timming Belt water pump ect should be inspected & they (recommended replacement) at 90,000. But the 2000 3.2 TL thats almost the same car as the 1999 except for 4 speed tranny in the 1999 & 5 speed auto tranny in the 2000.
The 2000 3.2 TL says to replace Timming Belt at 105,000 mile.
Also for the 2000 RL model they say to replace it at 105,000 miles.
So if you go by this schedule with your 96,000 your in the ball park for getting your belt, water pump ect. changed. If you go with the 2000 TL service interval for this is 105,000 miles or 7years. This goes for the Normal & Severe Driving Conditions.

Thanks FTM,

I also see that you are in the DC area. Do you have any dealers that you were happy with. I am in Ashburn but will go to any dealer in the DC area if I can be assured that they do good work. In addition to the t-belt, pump, etc.. I have to get the seat heater pads replaced as well. If not for that, I would take the car to a 'non-dealer' mechanic that I trust here. While it's warm now, I know those cold mornings will be here soon; I NEED my seat heaters

Thanks again.
