Synthetic Oil Filter

Synthetic Oil Filter
I am wanting to take my TLS into the dealer and have
the 7500 mile service work done. At the same time I would
like to convert to synthetic oil.
You would think I am asking for something hard. I have heard
the 'might void' your warranty speel. . .I have heard the 'if Honda
wanted you to have synthetic oil they would have it listed on the
pages as an alternate.
This is getting too complicated! Damn corportations and their
programs that try to force you to use their products.
I want to use Amsoil and all they will do for me is to tell me
I've got to use a Honda Filter.,
Does anyone know what the filter number is so I can buy
it from Amsoil? I was on hold for 30 minutes with the Acura
1-800 number--finally got part number 14500-POH-305.
Does anyone have a better number for the filter for a
2003 TLS.
Many thanks friends,

Not sure if this link will work... but here's the link for the filters:
http://intershop.amsoil.com/cgi-bin/...6/Catalog/1184
By doing a search on their site you'll find that the Amsoil filter # for the Type-S is SDF20.
I just bought 3 of them to go with my Redline Oil. I usually use the Mobil1 filter, but was having a tough time finding them.. so I'm switching to the Amsoil/Hastings filter.

There is a Federal law that says if a company requires you to only use THEIR brand of product as to not void the warranty then the company must supply it to the consumer for free. I think it's under the Magnuson-Moss Act of 1977.
