syn oil chang

There's been some debate on this question, but I don't think switching brands will affect anything. It might possibly be more of a factor if you were switching from synthetic to regular or vice versa on higher mileage engines, but that's another debatable topic in itself.

Wow, you guys are picky with certain vocabs. The reason I said it's debatable because if you do a search on oil, oil viscosity, etc, you'll find there are many "schools" of thought about what to use, how often to change, syn or natural, brands vs brands. The list goes on.
MikePA -- you're correct...the bottom line is, it doesn't matter either way. These companies spend a lot of money in R & D; most of these meet and/or exceed very strict criterias.
